The moment I had an idea to design and produce my own affirmation deck, I had a vision. I had an idea of exactly what I wanted it to look like, the format, the affirmations, everything. In fact, I already had a small list running of the specific affirmations I wanted.
I spent the next several weeks water-coloring paper. I used different shades of pinks, coral, and purple, even blending some colors together. I took the water-colored paper and uploaded it to my computer where I was able to add my text. In the end, I designed a total of 36 cards. 34 are “I am” affirmations and included are a “My Mission” and a “How to Use” card.
Next, I had to determine the name of my deck. This proves to be much harder than you would think. I spent a couple weeks writing down words and combining them until I found the perfect mix. The Love Within.
The Love Within is all about empowering, finding, building, and manifesting your love within.
Here is the special part and what sets my deck a part from the others you will find. My affirmation cards are short and simple. Don’t let that fool you into thinking they’re “simple” as these affirmations can be very powerful.
My affirmation cards are filled with “I am” statements. 3 words to be exact. Examples include: I am worthy. I am committed. I am powerful. I am limitless. I am becoming. I am learning. Simple yet powerful affirmations!
How are they powerful you ask?
You see, it’s not up to me to tell you how you are worthy, committed, powerful, limitless, becoming, or learning. The power of the affirmation is how that affirmation resonates with you. What the affirmation means and how it makes you feel. How does it relate to the challenges you’re currently facing and how can you allow that affirmation to empower you?
Online and in stores, you will find examples of affirmations and one may state, “I am worthy of alone time”. Absolutely. You are worthy and deserve alone time, down time, reflection time, and space to be alone and yourself. But maybe that doesn’t resonate with you right now. Maybe that doesn’t hold power for you like it does someone else. Maybe you need to hear, “I am worthy of love and deep connection”. The power lies when you can dig deep and decide how you are worthy. You and you alone! My deck gives you that power.
So let me ask you:
What does “I am worthy” mean to you?
How does “I am worthy” make you feel?
What is your initial reaction to saying “I am worthy”?
